We specialize in residential single family beach homes, but our firm handles a wide variety of work including some commercial, and environmental work as well. We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Description

As a Project Architect at Graham Associates, you will be responsible for leading projects from concept through completion, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and adherence to project schedules and budgets. You will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop creative and functional architectural solutions. Note: This job is in person and full time. Candidates must be able to work daily out of our Brightwaters, NY Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Develop design concepts, drawings, and specifications in compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and address construction-related issues.
  • Oversee junior architects and designers, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
  • Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Licensed Architect preferred (or on path to licensure).
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in coastal construction a plus.
  • Familiarity with Long Island zoning codes a plus.
