Position:Project ArchitectLocation:Grand Rapids, MIJob Id:2195# of Openings:1Project Architect*Along with your resume, please include work examples as well*LocationGrand Rapids or Novi, MIJob SummaryFishbeck is seeking a Project Architect to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading the technical development of medium scale projects, along with experience on larger scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of project types, with a focus on higher education, healthcare, and civic/municipal.Primary FunctionsCollaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.Prepare design development and construction documents.Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.Develop architectural technical specifications.Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review.Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of entry level architectural staff.Minimum Physical RequirementsMobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
