Title: Project Analyst 3
Location: Atlanta, GA 30309 (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Duration: On-going / Longterm
Bonuses: $250 retention bonus for every 6 months completed
Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Project Analyst 3 to join their Operations Support team. The Operations Support team provides project support for cross bore, leak survey, asset protection and emission measurement functions. The Project Analyst will be responsible for translating data related to these functions into actionable solutions while also monitoring program objectives. Responsibilities involve the following but not limited to:
- Deliver project reporting in Power BI to meet budget, schedule, and standards in multiple formats (dashboards, spreadsheets, presentation slides, etc.)
- Provide program metrics for reporting to business unit owners and upper management
- Develop data controls to address gaps, automate workflows to support program execution, and enhance data quality monitoring procedures (including data audits and exception tracking)
- Effectively communicate findings/recommendations with peers and senior management
Requirements:
- BA or BS in in Information Systems/Technology, Business Intelligence Analytics, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a gas utility
- 3+ years of experience building dashboard in Power BI
- Experience leading trainings in Power BI
- Advanced Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-directed and team oriented
- Experience establishing or enhancing quality control auditing and data validation processes
- Experience reporting of large data sets within utility, regulatory/government agency, construction
- Experience creating and building data processes to allow automation, scheduling, and scale of operational activities
- Proficient in data cleaning, fixing structural errors, formatting, removing duplicates, extracting, and discovering patterns, etc.
- Experience with cloud-based business intelligence tools such as SQL and Data ETL to create operational status reports
- Experience using analytics for performance metrics, regulatory compliance reporting/audits, cost, and resource analysis
- Ability to recognize task urgency to prioritize time and attend to critical details
Nice to have skills and experience:
- General understanding of city and county infrastructure
- Natural gas, telecommunications, water, wastewater, sewer, or public works experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with damage prevention programs (i.e. 811 locate ticket systems, watch and protect, cross bore impingement discovery and remediation, etc.)
