CV Resources is partnering with a leading construction organization to identify a Senior Project Controls professional to join their growing team. This role will play a critical part in driving financial and operational success by overseeing project cost control, scheduling, billing, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate brings strong project controls experience on large-scale construction projects, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, field teams, and clients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Cost Control / Accounting Reconcile project accounts with general ledger entries and labor postings. Track project budgets, expenditures, and monitor cost performance vs. forecasts. Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions. Schedule Management Collaborate with General Contractors on milestone planning and weekly scheduling. Lead pull-planning sessions with General Foremen to align commitments and track performance. Generate and analyze schedule data, ensuring accuracy and confidence in project timelines. Identify material and equipment constraints in coordination with Procurement Engineers. Produce visual KPI and dashboard reporting to drive accountability. KPI & EVM Management Align billing requests with performance metrics. Collect and analyze productivity metrics to support earned value and forecasting. Provide reporting packages for client-required KPIs and project performance. Billing & Collections Coordinate with Project Managers on monthly billing submissions. Support collections efforts and track compliance with payment terms. Monitor billing progress, flag potential issues, and help resolve disputes. Maintain project cash flow projections and assist with lien releases. Accounts Payable Review subcontractor/vendor payment applications for progress alignment. Validate work-in-place with field teams prior to payment. Ensure accurate cost coding and reconcile accrued/unaccrued costs. Track committed vs. actual costs and update project systems accordingly. Communication & Liaison Serve as a bridge between project teams and AP to clarify discrepancies and prioritize payments. Assist with invoice processing and Medius approvals. Provide data for forecasting, reporting, compliance, and audit support. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field. 5 years of industry experience, including 3 years in project controls on projects $25M. Strong financial acumen with knowledge of GAAP, cost controls, and forecasting. Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency with project controls and accounting systems. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication.
