Project Accountant - Pacific Staffing Employment Specialist : Job Details

We are looking for a Project Accountant to join the accounting department of a company in the greater Sacramento area. Our client offers a collaborative and positive work environment. The Project Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, job costing, daily cash management including bank reconciliations and deposits. The Project Accountant will develop and manage accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures, providing financial reports to management. Salary Range: $75,000-$87,000 based on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform month-end close duties, including preparing journal entries in accordance with GAAP or Management Accounting. Prepare lead sheets for balance sheet accounts and generate monthly close binders for review. Prepare GAAP-based financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, equity roll forwards, and supplemental statements.
