Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office - Midtown, NY

Leading Digital Agency with 600+ employees seeks entrepreneurial and driven Director of Programmatic Activation and Strategy with strong team leadership skills and 5+ years programmatic campaign execution, oversight and strategy experience along with experience leading a team at a digital agency (or similar) - to help build, shape and lead a team of 7 to 8 programmatic campaign managers/ associates and take overall lead for campaign strategy and execution – working across CTV, Display, Digital OOH, OLV, Native, Audio, Video and PMP. The successful candidate will have proven team leadership expertise, with ability to manage a growing team across multiple accounts and industry verticals, lead strategy calls with clients and will be the subject matter expert on programmatic advertising – working cross-departmentally with Ad Ops, Sales, senior leadership and external partners / vendors. Experience working in DV360 and TTD (Trade Desk) required (any Amazon, Yahoo DSP a plus). Must be a strong manager who leads by example, with strong programmatic skillset working across various DSPs and full funnel campaigns.

This is a visible role leading a growing a collaborative and dynamic team, with lots of potential for career growth in the business. Hybrid, 2 days per week in the midtown NY office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategically lead and grow the programmatic function in line with overall company goals.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend market data insights and technology providers to support programmatic advertising opportunities.
  • Identify and spearhead strategic growth areas for specific accounts, to increase account performance and gross profit for programmatic services.
  • Educate and upskill programmatic team members, along with other media departments, clients and sales managers.
  • Participate in senior management meetings as it relates to the creation of overall company initiatives.
  • Monitor team KPIs and feedback status to the VP Digital Media.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years programmatic advertising in a Digital Marketing Agency (or similar company).
  • 3+ years team leadership/ management - strong people skills and team leader.
  • Proven experience in media planning and strategy.
  • In depth understanding of the technical landscape of programmatic/ digital advertising.
  • Hands on experience with building and optimizing campaigns in DSP's – including DV360 / The Trade Desk
  • Strong focus on data and targeting, providing solutions that are unique to drive business KPI's.
  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience.

This is a hybrid role, 2 days in office - midtown NY (near Penn Station)
