Job Summary

Under the supervision of the program Manager and the Program Unit Chief, the candidate evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of psychosocial problems. The role involves applying individual and group clinical skills to assist patients and their families in resolving personal and environmental issues related to psychiatric conditions, enabling them to achieve their highest level of psychosocial functioning.

Requirements
  • Masters Degree or higher; licensure required, independent license preferred.
  • Experience in a psychiatric setting is required, with specific experience or training related to the population served, such as Substance Abuse, DBT, or ACT. Experience in providing both group and individual psychotherapy is necessary.
  • Interest and commitment to the programs at Butler Hospital and the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University.
  • Ability to tolerate the stress of working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, and managing challenging patient populations.
