Our approach involves working directly with families to access resources and services to overcome unjust obstacles and reach their full potential.Horton's Kids operates three Community Resource Centers, each playing a vital role in our mission. At the heart of our operations is Horton's Kids Community Resource Hub or “Horton's Hub”, serving as our largest location and headquarters. This multifunctional space serves as both our administrative offices and the central hub for our programming and distribution efforts.Job SummaryThe Program Site Lead K–5 Site oversees the daily operations of the elementary programs, ensuring a safe, structured, and enriching environment. They lead academic and enrichment activities, manage behavior using PBIS strategies, and maintain strong relationships with caregivers and school staff. This role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, consistent, and experienced with younger children.Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the daily point of contact for all site-level operations.
  • Supervise academic and enrichment activities, ensuring alignment with youth development best practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of Horton's Kids tutoring and structured SEL activities.
  • Ensure attendance is taken and entered tracking systems daily (e.g., Salesforce,)
  • Lead coordination of snack/supper with staff or vendors
  • Maintain communication with caregivers, provide updates, and enforce pick-up policies.
  • Support student recruitment and retention through outreach and family engagement
  • Create and maintain classroom expectations aligned with HK culture and Horton's Kids PBIS system.
  • Coordinate and participate in enrichment, showcase, and family engagement events.
  • Collect student highlights, photos, and success stories for newsletters and internal reports.
  • Attend mandatory training and ongoing professional development throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ year experience working with K–5 youth in a structured after-school, camp, or youth program.
  • Coursework or background in elementary education, human development, or related field
  • Experience with behavior management and classroom routines
  • Commitment to reliable attendance and a nurturing presence
