National Security Space in Littleton, CO has an exciting opportunity for a Program Quality Engineer supporting the Space Protection Programs mission area. In this role you will develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. You will contribute by completing a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage with internal suppliers, manufacturing, and subcontractor/suppliers.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiencies and drive correction.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Work includes support of Quality metrics generation and reporting, Cause and Effect analysis, and Program customer interface.
  • As a successful member of the team that delivers exceptional results, you will need excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and develop rapport with the team and multiple partners and external customers.

Desired skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.) with 2+ years of experience.
  • Working well in an environment with results oriented requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Experience with LM Space Quality tools (i.e. VECAMs, SAP QNotes, P2P, Automation Framework)
  • Experience making Preliminary Review / MRB decisions.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
