Our R&D and Operations team in Concord is looking for a dedicated Program Manager to ensure that all cross-functional activities are organized and that efforts are completed on time, within budget, and meet the specified performance requirements. The Program Manager is responsible for program/project leadership, schedule management, and budget management for the development and implementation of products and/or product upgrades.
This role serves as the primary interface with highly technical Customers, requiring the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas with the support of the technical team.
The Program Manager will communicate with and influence leadership. A successful candidate will contribute to the improvement of processes and systems within the program organization, leveraging personal experiences and an in-depth understanding of program management best practices. This position requires presence at the R&D and Operations facility in Concord, CA.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as the Customer's primary point of contact for active programs, leading regularly occurring technical and programmatic meetings, design reviews, milestone reviews, and similar engagements.
- Manage all aspects of cost, schedule, and execution for assigned programs, ensuring customer communication and satisfaction.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new products and product upgrades. Ability to perform in a technical leadership capacity is highly desired.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Service teams on the design, build, testing, production, and service of products.
- Plan and direct program timelines, monitor spending and budget, and leverage resources across the company.
- Conduct program status meetings, program reviews, and financial tracking, while communicating program metrics as required.
- Develop, maintain, and execute risk and opportunity management strategies in accordance with best practices.
- Ensure product and performance compliance with system requirements.
- Implement evolving programmatic, design, and quality decisions within the team.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership and influence decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and systems within the Program Management Organization.
