Location: Upper Saddle River, NJ (100% Onsite)

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000
Annual Incentive Plan (AIP): 4%
Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off)
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to obtain a government security clearance
Must Have: Industry experience in Aerospace & Defense or Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
About the Role:
Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced Program Manager III to lead the development and execution of technical programs within our Signal Technologies Business Unit, focusing on Direct RF, data acquisition, and FPGA processing solutions. This is a customer-facing role that will manage the full lifecycle of multiple programs — from concept through production and in-service support — in a high-tech, mission-critical defense and aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, ops, contracts) to deliver complex development and production programs on time and within budget
- Develop detailed execution plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource planning
- Ensure successful delivery of customer and internal deliverables in accordance with scope, cost, and quality targets
- Drive Risk & Opportunity Management, scope changes, and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate responses to RFPs, support proposal development, and manage contract deliverables
- Interface regularly with internal stakeholders and external customers, serving as the main program point of contact
- Manage program-level reporting, including KPIs, earned value, and cost/schedule performance
- Oversee subcontract management, statements of work, and compliance with export regulations
- Support strategic customer relationships, follow-on business, and new business development
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR, ITAR, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvement and internal audits as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant technical and program management experience
- Demonstrated success leading product development programs in a technical environment
- Industry experience in Aerospace & Defense or Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
- 100% onsite in Saddle River, NJ (no relocation assistance)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or advanced technical education
- Active or previous Secret Clearance
- PMP or Program Management Certification
- Experience managing development and/or production (not service) programs
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and program scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project)
- Strong experience with government contracting, FAR/DFAR, ITAR, and export controls
- Proficient in SharePoint, Confluence, and other collaboration/documentation tools
- Background in contract/subcontract management and supporting multi-site matrixed teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders
