The Education Project Manager I - RQI Improvement Program plays a key role in delivering and supporting performance-focused resuscitation training under the American Heart Association's Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program. This role combines traditional BLS instruction with coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback to help healthcare providers achieve and maintain high-quality CPR performance through frequent, low-dose, high-frequency training.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required

  • Current AHA BLS Instructor certification

  • Completion of RQI Instructor Essentials (or complete within 1 year of hiring)

  • Strong understanding of high-performance CPR metrics and AHA resuscitation science

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to provide supportive, objective feedback

  • Knowledge of resuscitation simulation manikins

Experience Requirements

Preferred

  • Experience as an educator or coach in clinical or simulation-based environments

  • Familiarity with RQI platform, simulation station management, and LMS/eCard systems

  • Clinical experience in acute care or emergency settings (e.g., RN, RT, Paramedic, EMT)

  • Experience driving an ambulance or other similarly sized vehicle

    • Frequent standing, demonstrating CPR, and interacting at simulation stations

    • Flexible hours may be required to meet the needs of 24/7 clinical operations

    Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation of healthcare providers into the RQI program, including device use and program structure.

  • Support RQI station operations by monitoring usage, providing real-time feedback, and troubleshooting technical or instructional issues.

  • Coach learners on CPR psychomotor skills using objective feedback from RQI manikins (e.g., depth, recoil, rate).

  • Deliver in-person or virtual Heartsaver and BLS Provider updates when needed, maintaining fidelity to AHA guidelines.

  • Promote the RQI model of continuous improvement and high-frequency practice within clinical departments.

  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and the AHA Training Center to track compliance, identify skill gaps, and enhance resuscitation performance culture.

  • Maintain accurate records of learner completion and performance data in accordance with AHA and institutional standards.

  • Stay current on updates to AHA science, RQI platform enhancements, and best practices for performance-based learning.

  • Participate in instructor calibration sessions and quality assurance reviews to ensure consistency across the program

  • Coordinate in-situ simulations in collaboration with nurse educators

  • Liaison with the simulation center as needed

  • Lead community-focused CPR training programs

    Compensation Statement

    Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $123599.87 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
