What You Will Do

The Program Manager, Fellowship Experience is a key member of the Program Team, responsible for day-to-day operations and the experience of a regional portfolio of COOP fellows and new alumni. This role coordinates and executes cohort-based programming, fostering a supportive environment from training through job placement. You will work with a core team to ensure high-quality program delivery, support fellows and new alumni in achieving career readiness milestones, and build strong relationships within cohorts.

In addition to overseeing program logistics and curriculum implementation, you will mentor and support COOP Captains — alumni who serve as near-peer coaches to current fellows. This role also monitors program data, identifies trends, and develops improvements to strengthen retention, engagement, and employment outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Cohort Management (30%)
    • Partner with a core team to deliver programming for an assigned portfolio of cohorts from training through job attainment.
    • Build and maintain authentic relationships with fellows and new alumni.
    • Maintain virtual and in-person presence for Phase 1 (Weeks 1-16) and support logistics of both virtual and on-site programming.
    • Attend Phase 2 and Phase 3 alumni workshops and employer/community events as appropriate.
    • Oversee the resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn review process to ensure career readiness criteria by end of Phase 1.
    • Provide direct group or individual support to fellows on performance, time management, and career concerns.
    • Collaborate with Partnerships Manager to identify and match candidates with curated employer opportunities.
  • Program Delivery (25%)
    • Coordinate and distribute program materials during Phase 1.
    • Oversee the Client Project implementation with Captains guiding fellows to meet requirements on time.
    • Collaborate with Partnerships to manage region-specific event logistics for employer partner events.
  • Data Collection & Management (20%)
    • Track fellow data in relevant systems and distribute program surveys to achieve target completion rates.
    • Monitor data to identify trends and interventions to improve retention, career readiness, and employment outcomes.
    • Share data insights to support real-time regional program decisions.
  • Captain Management (20%)
    • Manage a portfolio of Captains, providing guidance and resources for effective curriculum facilitation.
    • Conduct regular check-ins and provide feedback on program delivery; facilitate workshops as needed.
    • Act as mediator between Captains and fellows to resolve conflicts and implement interventions.
    • Review Captains' timesheets and ensure policy compliance.
  • Other Duties (5%)
    • Contribute to regional or program initiatives and provide input to strengthen operations and evaluation.
Who We Need
  • 2-3 years of experience in career development, workforce programming, coaching, or a related field supporting college students or early-career professionals.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills on career readiness topics such as resume development, interviewing, and job search strategy.
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with professionals from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Effective project and people management skills with experience coordinating program logistics and supporting peer leaders or volunteers.
  • Comfortable with data collection and systems for tracking outcomes (e.g., Salesforce, Prentus, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to learn new tech platforms quickly.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours (virtual or in-person) and periodic onsite work as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Base Annual Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience)

Hybrid Working Policy

COOP's hybrid workplace balances at-home flexibility with in-person collaboration. Monthly in-person time and regional gatherings support teamwork and culture.
