Compensation:Pay Range: $57,940 - $94,150/year
General Responsibilities
The Program Manager – Employee Experience (EX) serves as an employee lifecycle expert for UAB Medicine. They are responsible for fostering a positive employee experience that focuses on all steps of the employee journey (from outreach to off-boarding). They will serve as an EX subject matter expert and help oversee activities around the measurement of EX. The Program Manager – Employee Experience will report findings obtained from a variety of channels and make recommendations throughout the organization for improvements that will strengthen EX. While this position will support employee experience efforts for the entire UAB Medicine enterprise, up to 50% of their effort may be dedicated to UAB St. Vincent's.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supports all employee listening activity. Listening mechanisms include but are not limited to surveys, always-on, focus groups, exit interviews, and stay interviews. Makes recommendations for frequency and format of listening activity. Partners with external partners and internal resources to ensure the success of listening activities.
2. Analyzes employee feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement in the employee journey.
3. Coaches and advises leaders on employee experience. Serves as a resource / subject matter expert and makes recommendations that leaders can implement in their areas.
4. Collaborates with Marketing on employee branding and employee communication efforts.
5. Helps oversee employer review intelligence in partnership with Marketing by reviewing and managing social media sites like Glassdoor and Indeed for employee feedback. Assists in updating those sites, monitors and responds to reviews when needed, and reviews external site analytics. Reports back to stakeholders (HR Leadership, Employment, EX committees, etc.).
6. Serves as an administrator for the employee recognition platform, overseeing technical management of the platform, as well as developing and implementing strategies to promote platform adoption and encourage active participation in recognition activities.
7. Supports specific employee recognition programs including UAB Medicine service awards. Ensures recognition is administered in a timely fashion and is meaningful and appropriate for employees.
8. Communicates through a variety of channels to various stakeholder groups (staff, leaders, community) on the UAB Medicine Employee Experience. Provides information and feedback that can inform how the organization manages key employee lifecycle moments as well as recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
9. Assists with committee activity related to employee experience. Maintains committee meeting calendars, committee membership, and works with committee leadership to ensure alignment of committee activity. Helps prepare agendas and facilitates meetings as needed.
Completes various “Employer of Choice” recognition and award applications. Partners with other stakeholders as needed to obtain relevant data and information, and submits the applications
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, and five (5) years relevant experience required. Master's degree preferred.
· Prior expereince in a healthcare setting preferred.
· Experience planning and leading projects with focus on measurable or actionable outcomes.
· Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret/present survey or other listening activity results and related data sets.
· Technical skills related to survey design and administration are a plus.
· Collaborative; builds relationships and trust; able to partner across the UAB Medicine enterprise to bring about change.
· Focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
· Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and online); comfort speaking in front of groups; demostrated in a variety of settings (large groups, small groups, leadership, one-on-one, and online).
· Remains calm under pressure; able to navigate/address difficult situations.
· Travel to various hospital and facility locations (including UAB St. Vincent's locations), as needed.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
· HR Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred
