Job Summary
The Program Engineer will work as part of the worldwide program team, providing corrective solutions to the model fleet in collaboration with Dassault Aviation (DA) regarding airworthiness and technical fleet-wide issues. Will also support the Command Center, Field Service Representatives, service centers, vendors, repair agents, and customers by addressing fleet-wide concerns through letters, articles, and presentations (seminars, customer meetings). The role ultimately advocates for the needs of Western Hemisphere (W/H) customers.
Principal Duties
- Monitor and analyze fleet airworthiness and activity, identifying potential issues.
- Collaborate with DA to substantiate corrective actions for airworthiness and fleet-wide issues.
- Represent operational, maintainability, and regulatory impacts of technical issues regarding W/H fleet in the Product Support Agenda (PSA) process.
- Manage and coordinate PSAs; write PSA Phase 1 synthesis upon fleet issue identification.
- Coordinate high-profile customer projects.
- Support the Command Center, Field Service Reps, service centers, vendors, repair agents, and customers with fleet-wide questions.
- Write letters to customers and technical articles (FSA) for publication on Falcon Portal.
- Provide technical reports and executive summaries as needed.
- Develop and deliver presentations at customer meetings and seminars.
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, spelling, grammar, and readability prior to release.
- Attend and prepare for regular meetings with DA (support, logistics, commercial).
- Provide on-site customer assistance as required.
- Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with W/H customers/DAS facilities on behalf of DA.
- Collaborate with Engineering Support Department and DA in France.
- Represent Dassault Falcon in industry groups (NBAA tech committee, Air Transport Association, etc.).
- Interact with FAA regarding Falcon maintenance programs and technical issues.
- Act as focal point within DFJ departments for technical program support input.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in aviation or related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in aircraft support or system design.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to present technical information clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, helpful.
- Multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research and investigate independently.
- Experience presenting at technical seminars, completed FSI/CAE maintenance training, and work exchange with DA.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Falcon aircraft, avionics, and customer support.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, A&P license, failure analysis, and system reliability.
- Familiarity with 3D design software (CATIA V4/V5), French language, and tools like SIEBEL, CAMP, FileMaker.
Working Conditions
Office environment with domestic and international travel (5-10%).
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary typically between $90,000 and $100,000, plus comprehensive benefits including healthcare, 401k match, insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
