35 Hours/Week; Exempt

Salary Range:

85,000 To 95,000

Job Summary:

The Program Director oversees the administration and supervision of the MEHR program, a 51-bed supportive housing facility for young adults and their children (15 units are family units). The program supports residents in gaining job training, employment, and essential educational and life skills. The Program Director ensures effective service delivery aligned with Good Shepherd Services' philosophy and policies, while also meeting the requirements of various government contracts.

Major Duties:
  • Implement practices that ensure compliance with City, State and Federal regulations, as well as promote Good Shepherd's mission, vision, values and philosophy.
  • Participate in creating a therapeutic program milieu by integrating youth and family development, supportive case management, mental health services, work force development, and trauma informed models that focus on quality services for young adults and their families.
  • Identify challenges within the program and administrative domains, develop plans of action to address these challenges, and document solutions.
  • Provide biweekly supervision to the Social Work Supervisor, Office Manager, and other specialized roles.
  • Monitor the quality of staff documentation, ensuring that it is completed regularly and tracked in the agency database, Sales Force.
  • Ensure that the MEHR facility complies with maintenance and security standards in partnership with Prestige Management and the GSS Director of Facilities. This includes daily collaboration with onsite superintendent.
  • Coordinate regularly scheduled site fire drills.
  • Coordinate hiring, and training of newly hired staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of life-skill and workforce development programming, and other special projects/community events on site. Oversee monthly programming calendar.
  • Work collaboratively with GSS Departments (e.g., Impact and Strategy, Information Technology, Facilities, Finance, Training, Human Resources, Government Contracts, and Development).
  • Create and maintain collaborative relationships with young adult service providers in the community and city and state advocacy groups.
  • Develop and administer contracts and budgets, monitor contract compliance, and meet reporting requirements for each program and funding source; provide statistical and narrative reporting as requested.
  • Collaborate with the Impact and Strategy department in fulfillment of the program evaluation processes, including development and monitoring of program data and outcomes.
  • Facilitate monthly Community meetings and Team Meetings.
  • With the Social Work Supervisor, coordinate tenant service plan reviews and staff case conferences.
  • Encourage and advance the use of trauma informed practices to create a non-violent and trauma sensitive culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree Required (Social Work, Public Administration or other related field of Studies). Masters in Social Work preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Supervisor/Management capacity in a residential setting required.
  • Proven administrative; budget and leadership experience required.
  • Working knowledge of A.C.S.; DYCD/RHY; DOH/MH, DHS & HUD Initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required and ability to provide on-site supervision.
  • Commitment to work from a strength-based, youth and family development, and Trauma informed perspective.
