Program Director – Permanent Supported Housing

Work Location: 2760 West 33rd Street, Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm; ability to be on call 24/7 in case of emergencies

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Sea Rise One is a 72-unit permanent supported housing program located in Coney Island Brooklyn. The program services Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) adults, Youth Adults exiting shelter, and consumers from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). It offers a safe environment and supportive services to help clients achieve long-term stability and integrate into the Coney Island community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a safe and affirming environment for formerly homeless adults, many with mental illnesses or disabilities, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Providing high-quality program services in compliance with funder and regulatory standards, organizational policies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Overseeing daily operations, including fiscal, programmatic, and administrative functions.
  • Managing clinical operations, staff supervision, and staff development.
  • Ensuring budget adherence and fiscal health of the program.
  • Collaborating with property management on client issues.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and community committees.
  • Conducting staff performance evaluations and internal audits.
  • Maintaining staffing levels and ensuring compliance with all standards.
  • Building relationships with community organizations and representing BCS in the community.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • MSW or equivalent, with at least five years' experience working with homeless adults and supported housing, clinical experience required, LMSW preferred.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Background checks and fingerprinting required.
  • Availability for afternoon and weekend coverage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Pre-employment screening, including criminal background check, required.
