Program Director - GOOD SHEPHERD SERVICES : Job Details

The Parent Support Program is designed to educate and support families of juvenile probationers in Brooklyn and detention facilities across Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Within Brooklyn Family Court, the program seeks to decrease the family's reliance on law enforcement consequences by referring families to services that can help keep their young person safe and in the community. Within our detention facilities, we help build bridges of communication between ACS, other key stakeholders, and parents. The Director will support Parent Coach Supervisors and Coaches who provide peer mentorship, guidance, and referral services for parents and families whose children are court involved and/or detained. S/ He will work with probation officers and ACS staff to engage families in service planning for their child, with the goal of increasing family engagement at all levels of the probation and/or court and detention process.
