Summary

The Program Director (PD) plays a crucial role in overseeing, managing, and implementing all facets of the assigned program to ensure its success. This position mandates effective communication with Senior Youth Development (YD) leadership, program staff, all stakeholders, and agency colleagues. The PD is tasked with monitoring budgets, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance and development across all program components.

Essential Functions:

- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.

- Manage, implement, and oversee the requirements of assigned programs effectively.

- Establish program targets and goals, design and implement schedules, prepare and monitor budgets, and generate comprehensive program reports.

- Ensure the safety and supervision of all program participants.

- Collaborate with Human Resources on staff acquisition, orientation, training, payroll, and evaluations.

- Provide guidance and support to all staff, offering constructive feedback and facilitating evaluations as needed, with a focus on professional development.

- Communicate pertinent program information throughout the organization.

- Foster and maintain positive relationships with students, parents/families, the community, and school administrative teams.

- Oversee community engagement efforts, outreach initiatives, and stakeholder relationships.

- Achieve performance expectations and metrics defined for the role within the assigned program.

- Perform other related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Program Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the program. This includes executing supervisory responsibilities in line with agency policies and applicable laws, ensuring a solid understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) where applicable. Key responsibilities involve interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning work, leading trainings, recognizing exceptional performance, addressing disciplinary matters, conducting performance reviews, and resolving conflicts efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to independently plan and execute assignments.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and manage multiple tasks.

- Must pass necessary clearances, fingerprint checks, and demonstrate satisfactory health evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.

- SIFI certification.

- Bilingual proficiency in one or more languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, or others based on community needs.
