Role Overview:
Employee leads a team of Labor Market Analysts working on the Occupation Employment Statistics, Bureau of Labor Statistics program in labor market information production, and serves as a short-term occupation projections analyst. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities involved in producing our contract deliverables to BLS, including review of the work product(s); planning and scheduling tasks involved in creating the deliverables (generally files, reports, or other types of inputs to BLS, or primary stakeholders); development of staff members and interacting with BLS regional office staff and stakeholders; overseeing their specific program(s); and identifying, analyzing, and projecting trends in Indiana's economy and labor market. Employee may develop new tools for analysis or develop an in-depth understanding of existing tools and software to aid in presentation of data developed during research.
Must be comfortable making phone contact with employers. Must be available to travel to BLS conferences when offered.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $59,800.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
