Program Coordinator-Housing Navigator
In this role, the Program Coordinator-Housing Navigator (Case Manager) will assist with the development and implementation of program procedures and ensure that requirements are aligned to build sustainable support in impacting the lives of hundreds of residents; playing a critical part in the work and dedication of Community Action Partnership of Orange Countys initiatives. WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH IN THIS ROLE
The primary duties of the Housing Navigator are to provide case management services to the most vulnerable populations, including individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Housing Navigator will provide housing navigation, sustainability, and day habilitation services to ensure that all delivered services meet the needs of the members under the Housing Navigation program.
The rate for this position is $25.00 - $27.00.
Selected candidate must be bilingual in English/Vietnamese, both written and oral forms.
This position will follow a hybrid schedule, with the Housing Navigators time split between the Office, time in the Field, and Remote work.The exact split may fluctuate from week to week, and the Housing Navigator is expected to exercise professional discernment in determining the best allocation of his/her time and where.Hybrid schedules are subject to change based on program needs and/or the reporting managers discretion
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN
IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST BE
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Preferred: Bachelors degree in human services or related field AND minimum 1-2 years working in housing-related programs. Direct experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals and families experiencing homelessness. A minimum of 1 years case management and case planning experience is required. Minimum 1-year experience in trauma-informed care, harm reduction model, domestic violence, and crisis intervention required. Housing Navigation experience is a plus.
TRAVEL
Possess a valid California Drivers License with a driving record that meets minimum standards established by CAP OC insurance carrier, proof of vehicle insurance, access to a vehicle and willingness to drive/travel when required.
Typically, travel is local during the business day to/from CAP OC locations and incumbent will use personal vehicle. Possible travel may be during evening hours and possible out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, stand, kneel, sit, twist, turn, walk, bend at the waist, talk and hear, prolonged and fine dexterity of fingers and wrists, vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, and prolong computer work. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to twenty (20) pounds. Employee may be called upon to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
