Crawford IL helps youth to feel welcomed, safe, and supported while offering the services and connections to help them face the challenges of adulthood, including education, employment, financial literacy, housing, health, mental health and substance abuse, personal relationships, parenthood and legal assistance. Crawford IL brings these offerings together in one location through a combination of:
  • Core services and supports.
  • Specialized services offered on-site through sub-contracted agencies.
  • Teaming with other DHS programs.
The following objectives will be achieved:
  • Provision of high-quality programming.
  • Assurance of a capacity sufficient to meet the needs of the target population.
  • Excellence in youth engagement in supportive programming.
  • Streamlined collaboration among agencies that serve the target population.
  • Improved efficiencies in service delivery to the population.
  • Assurance of client access to co-located services and flexible hours.
  • Focus on youth outcomes, particularly in the following areas:
    • Graduating high school.
    • Increasing youth enrollment in post-secondary education.
    • Obtaining and retaining self-sustaining employment.
    • Permanent and stable housing.
    • Promoting health outcomes and discouraging teen pregnancy.
    • Enhancing life skills that are critical to achieving self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interact with youth in a supportive, compassionate manner.
  • Build strong, consistent relationships with young people.
  • Thoroughly communicate with all team members.
  • Responsible for the organization and compilation of all outcome data gathered by all direct care staff and advocates.
  • Serve as a liaison to partner agencies.
  • Develop, coordinate, and promote a variety of programming and services.
  • Provide development and marketing support.
  • Organize, plan, and coordinate various youth related projects and administrative projects.
  • Support the program's social media and online presence.
  • Support youth by providing transportation to programming, activities, or other necessary appointments
  • Promote the philosophy and mission of Auberle in the provision of all responsibilities.
  • Promote the Continuous Quality Improvement philosophy and maintain all Quality Improvement goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders throughout the provision of services.
  • Assure compliance with Council of Accreditation (COA) Standards, Sanctuary Principles and Values, State Regulations, County Contracts, and Agency Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform such other duties as the CEO and COO may direct.
  • Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    • Commitment to and passionate about serving transition age youth.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred and a preferred minimum of one year of experience working with youth and young adults (Special consideration will be given to individuals that have pervious Department of Human Services- DHS- system involvement as a client.)
    • Valid Pennsylvania's driver's license, vehicle, registration and insurance.
    • ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances
    • Random drug testing may be conducted to maintain a safe and drug-free workplace.
    • Meets the required Skills and Abilities described herein
    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Requires travel to youth homes and throughout the community.
  • Involved exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to domestic environments.
  • Constant contact with staff and non-staff (e.g., client families, referents, staff from other agencies).
