Title: Program Support Specialist - Public Entity Insurance Programs
Location: Walnut Creek, CA (hybrid- in office 2 days per week)
Pay: $36/hr.
Type: Temp to Hire
This position is part of the Program division, which focuses on servicing specialized public sector groups. As a Program Support Specialist, you'll collaborate with the Account Management team to assist with onboarding new groups, managing renewals, coordinating marketing efforts, and providing essential technical and administrative support.
This role would be great for someone who has exposure or some experience in insurance or employee benefits and is looking to continue growing their career! This role will provide training and the opportunity to learn and support others.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with onboarding new clients by collecting, verifying, and organizing required data
Review and coordinate updates to annual benefit summaries and Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs)
Maintain detailed tracking systems for member renewals, plan modifications, and other updates
Ensure all final documentation is accurate and submitted promptly
Liaise with insurance carriers to update open enrollment materials
Contribute to marketing initiatives and campaign execution
Draft and distribute annual member notices
Help manage and update content on the Program Portal
Collaborate with account teams to align on renewal strategies
Facilitate communication and coordination across service teams
Support ongoing client maintenance projects on a monthly or quarterly basis
Assist with compiling and distributing Program-level reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Willingness to obtain insurance license within 90 days of conversion
Commitment to maintaining Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
