Program Assistant I

Location: Ellsworth, Maine

Pay Scale- $16.20 - $18.63

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Energy Services Program Assistant I will work with clients in households of Hancock and Washington counties to assist them in completing the fuel assistance process, a program of Maine State Housing. The Program Assistant I will assist in scheduling appointments, the collection of necessary documentation for eligibility purposes, as well as assisting those found ineligible through referrals to other resources. This staff person will possess the ability to work as a team member, as well as being able to be self- motivated, to promote our goals of giving families we serve a hand up.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:

• Compassion for others who find themselves in need of our services whether for the first time or for a subsequent visit.
• Required: Up to 1 year experience with customer service and in a team environment.
• Must be proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Suites.

Education/Skill Requirements:

• High School Diploma or the equivalent in skills and experience is required.
