POSITION SUMMARY The Program Administrator performs administrative and operational tasks for the enCourage Benefits for Both Respite Program. GENERAL WORK SCHEDULE: 25 hours per week with availability to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. May be scheduled some evenings and weekends for special events. Other benefits include paid sick leave, leadership development opportunities, training, and career advancement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Completes in-person meetings with community partners and prospective families to determine appropriate referrals into the respite program.
  • Coordinates and executes ongoing community partner & vendor seminars, workshops, and specialty services for respite sessions.
  • Develops and maintains positive, open communication between program staff, participants, and caregivers.
  • Be accessible to participants and caregivers both before and after sessions to answer questions and follow up.
  • Records session data for each participant and caregiver as required for grant reporting, compliance with HIPAA standards, and to meet program evaluation guidelines. Meets all required reporting deadlines.
  • Maintains program evaluation data and program files.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and responds to participant feedback.
  • Assists with the facilitation of the program. Delivers activities to participants and caregivers in effective, meaningful, and compelling ways. Encourages group participation and interaction using exploratory facilitation.
  • Facilitates open and continuous communication with families to encourage appropriate retention of participants.
  • Creates a welcoming environment that is friendly and supportive.
  • Ensures a safe program environment and responds to emergency situations.
  • Maintains and stores program supplies and equipment properly.
  • Attends meetings and maintains required certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships within a group, and empathy for caregivers and participants.
  • CPR/AED & First Aid certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) preferred or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and have strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • At least one year of experience facilitating a community-based respite program is preferred.
