Qualifications you'll bring:
Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field
Two years' experience in a healthcare field preferred
One year experience in health insurance/managed care preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to meet and maintain required departmental quality and quantity standards
Ability to monitor and follow-up on tasks and assignments
Ability to document phone calls/emails/chats in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with all levels of staff, under limited supervision
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing organizational needs
Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth
Humility to play as a team
Commitment to being the difference for our customers in every interaction
Your key responsibilities:
Responsible for entering all notifications of admission to in-network hospitals and facilities in MVP's medical management system
Responsible for identification and assignment of cases requiring concurrent review to the appropriate BH UM Clinician
Communicate with hospital or facility staff to ascertain status of admission and discharge
Enter timely discharges, supporting transitions of care
Communicate with and assist providers supporting MVP's transition of care program
Obtain and provide referrals for in-network providers
Work collaboratively with BH clinicians
Provide support and coordinate with BH CM staff for member initiated out-of-network requests
Provide referral assistance to members seeking care with behavioral health providers
Assist in preparation of materials for regulatory presentations, meetings, and audits
Demonstrate strict adherence to confidentiality
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
