Production Worker: Pick Yard - Express Employment : Job Details

Top Job Located in Sherwood, OR Salary: $21.00Our client in Sherwood wants to add a General Laborer to their team. If you are interested in automotive and recycling, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the job for you! #1939LIDThis is an evaluation for a hiring position. Duties:

• Vehicle Prep: Remove tires, drain all fluids (gas, oil, coolant, etc.), remove wiring and catalytic converters. Set vehicles in the yard for customer access.
• Crush Process Support: After customer access, vehicles go to the crush operator (not your role). Use sweepers to clean up glass, everyone participates.
• General Maintenance: Includes cleaning, sweeping, breaking down boxes, and other upkeep tasks.

Essential Functions:

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Remove Freon, fluids, batteries, and trash.
• Drain: Extract all vehicle fluids and catalytic converters.
• Position vehicles for customer access and clean up afterward.
• Remove tires, motors, transmissions, heater cores, copper wire, and other core items.
• Dismantle engines/transmissions, harvest wire, and sort materials.
• Separate tires from rims, remove weights/stems, and prep for shipment.
• Clean up, remove debris, and ensure safety in customer areas.
• Assist customers, maintain logs, manage stormwater controls, and help with equipment upkeep.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Mechanically inclined or car part knowledge - preferred
• Dependable. reliable, hardworking.
• Someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
• Ability to lift 50lbs+
