Production Worker-Concord Facility - Vermont Staffing : Job Details

Lyndon Furniture has been a producer of fine hardwood furniture for over 45 years in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our Concord team! Woodworking and/or building experience is preferred but not required. On the job training is provided.

Some responsibilities may include:

• Setting up or operating machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers, to cut, mold, or shape wood stock or wood substitute
• Measuring, shaping, adjusting, trimming, and sanding parts and joints to make parts fit snugly, using tape measure, hand tools, and sander to prepare articles for finishing
• Establishing the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired and planning methods of operations for shaping or assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral and written instructions
• Applying glue and inserting dowels, biscuits, or screws to fasten subassemblies together and form complete unit, using hand tools and clamps
• Matching materials for color, grain, or texture, giving attention to knots or other features of the wood
• Verifying dimensions, checking the quality and fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications
• Inspecting under light for product flaw/imperfections prior to finish stage
• Conveying necessary wood stock and materials from storage area to workstation and machines, conveying completed case goods to finishing department
• Working collaboratively with other employees/departments as necessary
