Production Supervisor
We are seeking dedicated Production Supervisors for both day and night shifts. The work schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern, offering a balanced mix of work and rest days. Day shifts run from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm and night shifts from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent enforcement of Safety policies, including PPE use, and maintain safe working conditions.
- Communicate safety awareness as a priority to all employees and propose ideas to improve plant safety.
- Ensure timely incident reports are filled out within 24 hours to aid in quicker resolution of issues.
- Participate in safety walk-through audits and support employees' participation in safety programs.
- Ensure close adherence to the production schedule in compliance with quality standards and GMP.
- Maintain a high level of sanitation and housekeeping, ensuring processing equipment is sanitized before use.
- Ensure communication with QC for timely support in addressing issues that may require control or validation.
- Manage the daily schedule, monitor online percentage, and ensure adequate staffing to maintain high plant service levels.
- Support operators in troubleshooting issues with technical understanding of packaging lines and CIP systems.
- Recruit and train employees, develop action plans for improvement, and conduct performance reviews.
- Continuously improve performance based on key performance indicators and seek ways to reduce downtime.
- Oversee efficient implementation of quality standards and programs to reduce production waste.
- Support environmental programs and look for ways to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Essential Skills
- 5-7 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Proficiency in English and strong organizational skills.
- Track record of problem-solving and leadership with outstanding communication skills.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
- Ability to adapt in a changing work environment.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work up to a 12-hour shift.

This is a permanent position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
