If this sounds like you, then we need to talk...Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. The Production Supervisor at Frazer reports to the Production Control Manager, and is responsible for 15-25 employees within the Aluminum department. This role will also ensure effective and efficient assembly best practices are met to satisfy safety, quality, and production standards. What Does a Week in the Life of the Production Supervisor Look Like?
  • Plans and communicates the sequence of work with daily due dates by Job Operation, based on the overall production schedule, parts availability, and staffing.
  • Coordinates completion requirements for the department(s) over the upcoming 1-2 weeks.
  • Verifies parts ordering, outsourcing coordination, and staffing availability.
  • Assigns daily completion deadlines and ensures proper sequencing of work.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and works to reduce departmental defects per unit.
  • Meets daily with the QC team to review defects by type, identify root causes, and determine actions to reduce or eliminate defects.
  • Monitors individual employee performance and provides training or counseling as needed.
  • Ensures right tools and adequate quantities are available at each work center.
  • Ensures the Bill of Materials (BOM) is complete and correct on job orders.
  • Ensures job notes and information are accurate and complete.
  • Ensures team members are properly trained.
  • Manages a cross-training program for team members within the department.
  • Resolves issues with engineering, scheduling, and purchasing, including Unit questions, BOM corrections, and Expediting purchased or fabricated parts.
  • Keeps Team Leaders and Members informed of the schedule and priorities.
  • Holds daily huddles with Team Leaders to review priorities and sequence of work.
  • Ensures materials are issued and Job Operations are completed in Syteline/Shop-Trak.
  • Confirms quantities of materials issued daily match required quantities.
  • Works with Engineering to resolve any BOM issues.
  • Verifies that team members have signed off on all job tasks in Job Manager daily.
  • Measures and monitors team and individual performance by reviewing metrics weekly
  • Conducts regular discussions and periodic reviews with each team leader or member.
  • Completes Annual Evaluations for all team leads and members on time.
  • Monitors and approves time and attendance, as well as PTO requests.
  • Ensures all employees are clocked in or logged in the Call In Log in UKG.
  • Promotes a Safety First mindset with good housekeeping practices at all times.

    • High School Education Diploma/GED required
    • Clean driving record and ability to be added to the company insurance.
    • At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or service shop environment.
    • At least 3+ years experience in a leadership role leading teams of 5 or more.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Welding experience
    • Some university studies are preferred.
    • Completion of Safety Classes (OSHA 10 or OSHA 40 class or equivalent)
    • Lean Six Sigma / Manufacturing training .
    • Previous experience managing direct labor.

Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $73,000-$94,000 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience.Work Schedule The Production Supervisor will work Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM. Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed.
