The production supervisor will be involved with production planning, maintenance planning to allow for plans and goals to be met. In this role, you wll be working with a cross functional group to learn the totality of the business.This position is part of the Operations Department and will be located in Cortland, NY. This is a 2nd shift role with typical hours of 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m daily.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Action plan-problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Metrics reporting and daily management
  • Lead a group of associates to achieve business and production goals
  • Oversee the direct manufacturing operations in terms of safety, quality, productivity and timely delivery to external customers.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of work related experience, an associates degree with 5 years of related work experience or High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • 2+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Excel and experience with SAP and ADP eTime
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience in a union environment
  • Welding
  • Reading blueprints

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
