A growing manufacturer in Clinton Township is seeking a Production Control Supervisor to take ownership of scheduling, materials management, and supplier coordination. This direct hire role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery within a busy production environment.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and optimize production scheduling across multiple manufacturing operations (slab, saw, and machine schedules).
- Ensure smooth flow of materials and orders through production, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
- Manage supplier relationships, issue purchase orders, and monitor open orders.
- Develop and lead inventory control processes, including cycle counting and material movement visibility.
- Apply Lean principles to drive continuous improvement across scheduling and inventory management.
- Partner with production teams and leadership to maintain high standards of quality and operational performance.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong scheduling and inventory management expertise.
- Background in supplier management and purchasing within manufacturing.
- Strong systems/software skills and comfort with ERP/MRP environments.
- Experience implementing or working in a Lean/Continuous Improvement setting.
- Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- A detail-oriented leader with strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.
