Bradley Professional is currently seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler for a great manufacturing company located in Lexington, NC

Overview:

The Production Planner & Scheduler manages all production planning and scheduling activities to meet facility and corporate goals. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this role coordinates daily production requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on forecasts, capacity, and business needs.
  • Set up and update parts and routing information in the CMS system.
  • Monitor inventory levels, support cycle counts, and prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Coordinate production plans with Sales, Engineering, Production, Accounting, and Materials teams.
  • Ensure accurate raw material consumption as per BOM.
  • Communicate demand changes and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Assign production tasks to optimize costs and meet deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve production, manpower, and material issues promptly.
  • Generate reports on production status, material yield, capacity planning, and downtime.
  • Support equipment maintenance scheduling to avoid disruptions.
  • Assist with shop floor material flow and internal logistics.
  • Comply with quality, environmental, and operational procedures (IATF, ISO 14001).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Materials Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years in materials planning, scheduling, forecasting, and supply chain—preferably in low volume/high mix manufacturing.
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems; CMS experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts (Kanban, JIT, Kaizen).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
