(NBI), established in 2013, is committed to our mission “to continuously improve our products beyond the industry standards through rigorous research and development.” Particularly, NBI's dental division with its focused but all-inclusive R&D provides high-quality dental devices and consumables to consumers and is committed to meet our customers' needs and demands beyond the industry standards. Currently, NBI's operation takes place in our facilities in Columbia, Missouri.

OVERVIEW

Under general supervision, the production planner and shipping specialist will be responsible for providing short and long-term plans for production lines and also working on shipment preparation and scheduling that result in high customer service levels while maintaining plant efficiencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with production manager/supervisor to create production schedules and distribute to line leader and/or production personnel.

· Facilitate and communicate scheduling changes, issues and options to stakeholders. With input from engineering and production.

· Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective scheduling methods and communication

· Comply with all operational safety, process safety, environmental permits, Quality policies, procedures and training requirements.

· Identifies material risks and capacity shortages.

· Responsible for monitoring and ordering ingredients and other materials.

· In conjunction with customer, schedule deliveries. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

· Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.

· Maintain correspondence with customers, including receipts, invoices (if required), and tallies.

· Other duties, as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

· 1+ years leadership or supervisory experience.

· Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

· Problem-solving and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage priorities and work independently as well as on a team.

· Willing to take initiative with focus on the key initiatives and opportunities for improvement and growth.

· Self-starter, highly motivated, follows directions well and can work with little or no supervision.

· Able to adapt effectively to changes in the work environment in a positive manner; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

· Proficient time management and prioritization skills.

· Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extra hours, as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk frequently during the shift. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed and on weekends.

· Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.

· May need to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.

· Ability to travel 10% or less. Visit trade shows, vendors or customers to provide technical assistance when needed.
