Health Wright Products, located in Clackamas, OR, is an extension of IFF Inc., committed to integrity and quality in our people, services, and facilities. The Clackamas site focuses on innovation and operational excellence to supply consumer-ready dietary supplements in the probiotic, enzyme, and botanical categories.
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Production Manager to lead the manufacturing functions, including hand sorting of defective capsules, bottling, blistering, bulk packaging, and stick and sachet work centers. The ideal candidate loves efficiently creating high-quality products and has a passion for continuous improvement and safety.
This role involves ensuring resources to meet financial and business goals, shaping strategies, and participating in the company's growth planning. The manager will lead a team of approximately 50 employees, fostering a collaborative and learning culture that excels in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Quality, Productivity, and New Product/Process integration with integrity.
The manufacturing process operates 24/5 across three shifts, possibly including weekends, requiring leadership around the clock. The manager will oversee day-to-day operations, performance, and development of the manufacturing team, building strong relationships with staff and leadership to ensure readiness of people, processes, equipment, and facilities.
Essential Functions
Supervise, coach, develop, and inspire line leaders responsible for production, safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost management.Foster a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism aligned with company core values.Lead continuous improvement initiatives in employee engagement, customer satisfaction, employment branding, and profitability.Align activities and processes across shifts.Maintain process discipline, improve process reliability, identify productivity gains, and implement policies.Assess and improve safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP procedures.Promote understanding and application of quality standards, SOPs, and cGMPs.Act as a change agent to challenge and improve manufacturing performance.Manage production line capacity to ensure supply and agility for sales and business needs.Lead a culture of collaboration, transparency, and adaptability, influencing internal stakeholders.Oversee departmental budgets, staffing, and support staffing needs with temporary support when necessary.Hire staff, recommend pay adjustments, conduct performance reviews, and support staff development.Provide operational backup for supervisors.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in food or dietary supplement production is a plus.
- At least 5 years of successful leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to support senior leadership and drive a culture of change.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Independent worker focused on departmental objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, and data warehouse systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Legal right to work in the U.S., pass drug screening and background checks.

Salary Range: $89,200 - $111,500
