We are currently looking to add a Production Manager to our team in Menahga, MN. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, including scheduling, staffing, equipment maintenance, quality, safety, and cost control. This role ensures efficient, on-time manufacturing in line with production goals, associating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and maintain productivity standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure on-time order fulfillment.
- Oversee staffing and personnel activities, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to company standards.
- Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and compliance protocols across production operations.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies; place orders and coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams.
- Supervise preventative maintenance programs and coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.·
- Track production performance metrics (e.g., yield, downtime, cost-per-unit) and prepare monthly reports to support managerial decisions.
- Lead process-improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, root-cause analysis, and waste reduction.
- Manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies without impacting quality.
- Coordinate with other departments—such as procurement, maintenance, quality control, and shipping—to ensure process integration and customer satisfaction.
- Identify operational risks and proactively communicate solutions and recommendations to leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities

- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production priorities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years in manufacturing or production management roles, preferably in high-volume environments .
Physical Requirements
- Ability to spend extended periods on the production floor, including walking and standing.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs, and accessing elevated areas.
- Willingness to work extended shifts or overtime during peak production periods.
