Joinus as we blend technical excellence with our mission of equipping people like Jesus incommunity and for community.Why This Role MattersGrowing Impact● Support a rapidly growing congregation (13% growth this past year) with opportunitiesto take developing production ministry to the next level● Serve hundreds of kids and youth through our midweek programs, many from familiesdiscovering our church● Be part of our Expand the House building project—Phase 1 of our three-phaseexpansion just beginningTechnical Innovation● Lead audio, visual, lighting, and live streaming across all worship experiences● Shape our digital ministry strategy, including website technical management and AIintegration philosophy● Research and implement cutting-edge equipment and technologiesTeam Leadership● Build and develop a volunteer technical team● Create systems and training that empower others to excel● Foster a collaborative environment where technical ministry thrivesYour Technical Ministry ImpactWorship Production Excellence● Oversee all audio, visual, and lighting systems in our worship center● Manage live sound mixing for dynamic worship services and events● Coordinate video production, camera operation, and professional live streaming● Ensure every technical aspect runs seamlessly to support powerful worshipexperiencesDigital Ministry Leadership● Manage technical aspects of live streaming, expanding our online reach● Oversee website technical operations● Collaborate on social media technical integration● Help craft our philosophy for emerging AI technologies in ministryTeam Development & Training● Recruit, train, and schedule technical volunteers across multiple teams● Develop soundboard, video, lighting, and technical specialists● Provide ongoing education and skill development opportunities● Create a positive, collaborative technical ministry cultureSystems & Equipment Management● Maintain comprehensive inventory of all technical equipment● Develop and implement maintenance schedules for optimal performance● Research and propose equipment upgrades to stay current with technology● Manage technical/production budget effectivelySpecial Events & Beyond● Provide technical support for conferences, special productions, and community events● Partner with ministry leaders to understand and exceed their technical needs● Support the dynamic midweek programs serving hundreds of children and youthWhat You'll BringTechnical Expertise● Proven experience in audio/visual production, preferably in live event or worshipenvironments● Proficiency with sound mixing, lighting systems, and video production● Experience with live streaming platforms and digital technologies● Knowledge of equipment maintenance and system troubleshootingLeadership & Team Building● Experience recruiting, training, and leading volunteer teams● Ability to teach technical skills to others with patience and clarity● Strong organizational skills for scheduling and coordinating teams● Heart for developing others and building collaborative environmentsMinistry Heart● Passion for using technical excellence to enhance worship experiences● Understanding that great production serves the greater purpose of connecting peoplewith God● Collaborative spirit working alongside worship and ministry teams● Commitment to creating distraction-free worship environmentsPosition Details● Type: Part-time, non-exempt position with growth potential● Reports to: Worship Director● Schedule: Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, plus special eventsWhy Elk River?Experience the perfect blend of small-town community charm with easy access to the TwinCities' cultural and professional opportunities.
