Production Manager - Remedy Intelligent Staffing : Job Details

Remedy is thrilled to be working with a local Finger Lakes Area, NY manufacturing company with an urgent need for a Production Manager in a machining shop.

Job Title: Production Manager (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts, must be flexible for a midday schedule.

Pay: $70,000-90,000/year

Essential tasks for this Production Manager include:

• Establishes clear responsibilities and expectations for each position and ensures that each employee meets or exceeds these standards. Establishes boundaries / sets clear expectations / interdepartmental oversight.
• Manages all production activities; organize and develop production schedules, originate or approve measures to improve process efficiency, equipment performance, and quality of final product.
• Ensures Safety Compliance and conducts Accident Investigations.
• Completes assessments of team members to determine development needs, coordinate training programs as applicable, and establish regular feedback with direct reports in order to mentor and develop them.
• Manages a group of Team Leaders, a Maintenance Technician, and indirectly, 30 - 40 production team members.
• Knowledge of GD&T and machining is helpful.

We're looking for a Production Manager with the following background profile/skills:

• BS in a Technical discipline with 5 years manufacturing production management experience.
• Demonstrated QMS knowledge. AS9100 experience a plus.
• Previous experience with International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) policies is a plus.
