The benefit package includes paid yearly shutdowns, in addition to your vacation time.We have a current career opportunity as an:Production Lead Coordinator - 2nd ShiftLocation: Tarboro, NC, USAJob Summary:This role will be responsible for coordinating and planning 2nd shift production activities in a high volume, high mix Tier 1 automotive electronics manufacturing facility. This incumbent will be responsible for ensuring top quality units are produced, implementing continuous process improvement, cost savings, initiating team projects and following the projects to completion, and performing daily schedule/team management duties. This high visibility role has the opportunity to work alongside engineering/maintenance, quality and production colleagues to improve existing processes and define new processes where needed. You will be able to provide process expertise in regards to process improvement techniques to achieve corporate objectives within the costs allowable. This position will work with and rely on production supervisors to accomplish daily tasks, while driving improvements, vision, and direction. Responsibilities include:
- Meeting KPI targets,
- Reporting through the use of Microsoft Office and other software applications
- Presenting results and countermeasures
- Leading cross functional teams in weekly meetings
- Budgeting
- Meeting customer expectations
- Lead continuous improvement activities on Assembly Production lines
- Lead Root Cause Analysis for Quality and Efficiency Issues
- Support materials team by oversight of 2nd shift Receiving, warehouse and Shipping functions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 5 years experience leading production operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross functional team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-directed and task-oriented
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 year Degree in related field
- 5+ years Supervisory experience with proven upward growth
- 10+ years of work experience in a high speed, Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with electronics and electronic components
- 6-Sigma certification
- Familiarity with SAP and L2L
