Role Description

The Manager, Production & Inventory Controlwill provide and drive strategy for efficient production planning at our Lancaster facility. You will manage ourscheduling process and leverage ERP systemsto provide data that allows your team to schedule at the lowest cost possible. This position will optimize ERP functionality to develop comprehensive production plans, considering factors like customer orders, forecasts, raw material inventory, resource capacity and transportation. Your experience will help us optimize the performance of production planning and master scheduling to achieve short and long-term corporate objectives. In this role, you will manage two (2) production schedulers and lead the department to drive revenue and reduce costs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain and lead team culture throughout the organization
  • Manage the daily activities between the ERP system and the production teams to meet or exceed department objectives
  • Develop Production Planning models to drive service levels and factory efficiency /profitability.
  • Analysis needs to include production efficiencies, Inventory level management, freight, and warehousing needs
  • Inventory levels vs customer demand/forecast with management of safety stock level recommendations
  • Out of Stock analysis and gap recommendations
  • ABC SKU analysis
  • E&O Inventory tracking and reporting for organization
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business and/or operations management).
  • 5 or more years of management experience, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and interact with others at all functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Change management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, fast paced and extremely service driven manufacturing environment.
  • Team leadership capabilities
