Production Engineer - General Atomics : Job Details

Oversee the manufacturing and testing of our payload products. Interface with the project management team to understand and drive the manufacturing team to implement the program required schedule and technical requirements. Provides leadership in the analysis, evaluation and resolution of engineering related production problems. Ability to read and understand moderate to complex documentation such as drawings, schematics, diagrams, wire lists, work instructions, production orders and procedures. Evaluate and resolve production issues related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering. Ability to understand Assemble, Alignment and Bonding of optical components tight tolerances, including potting of lenses, bipods to mirror substrates, etc. Experience with air bearing rotary table Height gauge, electronic indicators. Uses calibrated tools such as DMMs, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches and crimpers.
