Our client is seeking an Assistant Production Control Manager for an excellent on-site position located in the Cordele, GA area. Responsibilities include:
- Leadership role supporting the planning and execution of manufacturing schedules and production workflows.
- Ensures that production activities are aligned with demand forecasts, deadlines, and operational capabilities.
- Assist in resolving bottlenecks, tracking progress, and filling resource gaps when needed.
- Provide leadership and direction to production team members, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Monitor production schedules, material availability, and labor resources
- Serve as a key liaison between various functions (Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality) to ensure workflow and timelines are achieved.
- Support training and development of production staff
- Oversee and assist with tracking work orders to meet deadlines
- Think strategically to identify process improvements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing required.
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, scheduling processes, quality and delivery targets, and workflow optimization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across a matrix environment
- Familiar with technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Understanding of plant operations, setup, maintenance of production equipment, tools, etc.
- Strong attention to detail when working with machine components to ensure quality and safety.

- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
- Requires working both indoors within a manufacturing plant and occasionally outdoors.
- Environments can range from cold and dry to hot and humid.
- The manufacturing area may be noisy and contain flashing lights and strong odors.
