Production Control Distribution Analyst

The Production Control Distribution Analyst at BlueOval SK – BlueOval Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Monitor Daily/Weekly/Monthly Customer Requirement
- Plan Daily/Weekly outbound shipments to meet Customer requirements
- Interface with 3PL Warehouse and Trucking to support Customer requirement
- Coordinate shipping plans with 3PL Warehouse and internal Material Handling Process Coaches and Operators
- Coordinate production workflow for assigned crew or assigned production areas
- Produce the daily and weekly, rolling short-term, production schedules (volume/mix/sequence)
- Plan and prioritize production schedule to ensure maximum performance and minimum delays by utilizing the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to manage inventory positions and elements (receiving, supplier communications, escalations) in assurance of clear to run
- Determine labor, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover short-term production requirements
- Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule
- Assure production plan supports promised ship dates to customer by checking production count entries and communicate issues or adjustments required to short or mid-term plans working with the team's Master Production Material Planner
- Monitor receipt of required material to support production plan and coordinate shipments from warehouse in/out to/from plant
- Drive accuracy of inventory by correcting shipping transactions, monitoring production counts, and validating scrap transactions
- Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records
- Respond to schedule changes, react/plan around quality, shipping, or schedule of supply chain issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Ensure all orders are entered promptly and accurately, thereby maintaining stability in the production schedule and improving efficiency
- Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
- Obtain output information daily or weekly to monitor rolling short-term production plans (# of finished products, percentage of defects, scrap, etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports aligned to KPIs
- Monitor open or aged production orders and assist in compliance of timely closure
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business Administration, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of (2-3) years' experience in Supply Chain Planning or Inventory Management preferably in a manufacturing environment or similar role
- Experience in Common Manufacturing Management System (CMMS) or similar ERP including MRP, MES, or WMS modules
- Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistics carriers, and production suppliers
- Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- React well under pressure and be able to work under crisis management
- Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
- Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate and teach Supply Chain Planning principles to laymen
- Competent in the use of data for decision making
