Description
Collaborate with multiple departments, especially Engineering, Materials, and Commercial, to manage Change Notices (CN) and implementation processes. This includes new part setup, purchase sales agreements, EDI releases, MES setup, and route setting. Support Materials with daily operations such as physical inventory, SAP transactions, releases, process, and inventory accuracy. Manage daily logistics tasks in SAP and other systems, including route setup, optimization, billing, auditing, and quotes.
Change Notice
Manage CN information by participating in internal and external weekly CN meetings and tracking upcoming CNs. Handle CN part changes, including alerts, first sequence recordings, part change notifications with sign-offs. Communicate CN details internally and externally to OEM, attending weekly OEM CN meetings. Coordinate setup requirements and special activities related to part changes. Material Support
Monitor incoming 830 & 862 messages daily or weekly for new parts, suppliers, or resourcing updates. Support the Material team with physical inventory, inventory accuracy, routing, and carrier oversight. Publish monthly materials closing reports covering inventory, adjustments, IBT, expedites, NCT, and GR/IR. Research material history for obsolescence or gains/losses. Perform SAP transactions to support daily Material operations upon approval. Pilot Production
Support pilot build activities, including new part management, PDCA cycles, production meetings, and planning. Lead or support annual buildouts for new parts or model year updates. System Management
Coordinate with ERP team for SAP system improvements from a user perspective. Create, update, and maintain SAP Material Master data. Create and maintain Purchase Source List (PSA) and source list in SAP. Maintain SAP production BOMs as needed. Create part numbers in MES for continuous line production. Additional Duties
Follow up on SAP backlog issues and drive resolution. Setup and maintain MES CNs for dual barcode scans and SR messages. Collect and report daily production data, including output, hours, manpower, etc. Submit monthly diversity reports to OEM and management. Support OEM capacity management systems and special projects as needed. Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience; supply chain management or engineering background preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, computer proficient.
- Basic problem-solving skills for process and system understanding.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
