Manufacturing Technician

The effective candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment on 1st Shift. This role will support production AND development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site.
What You Will Do:
- Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabrication, solder, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments.
- Route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.
- Check for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments.
- Perform work in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
- U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.)
- Ability to shift job assignments based on production requests.
- Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
- Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
- Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
- Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated motivation for continuous improvement.
- Ability to accomplish daily work tasks with a positive attitude and interpersonal tact skills.
