We offer: Year-round Full time permanent workPaid overtimeMedical and dental benefitsCompetitive wagesSafety boot allowanceBonus programsStaff social events.All this at a single location where we provide the tools, PPE and safety training needed for the job.Duties & Responsibilites:Operating machines and equipment or using hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit plastic materials to form parts and assembliesFollowing blueprints and drawings to join shell halves together using a hand lay-up processInstalling fittings, gauge plates, man-ways and other components and accessoriesCutting and preparing composite materials from patterns to join parts and assembliesMaking minor adjustments or repairs to productsUsing equipment including grinders, trimmers, measuring tools and rollersPeriodically inspecting work to ensure compliance with quality standardsDocumenting information on process sheets and time cards in an accurate and timely mannerMaintaining a neat and tidy work areaKeeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirementsOther activities as required to support the production processQualifications:High school diploma is preferredGeneral related experience or previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferredPrevious experience with a spray gun is a definite assetAbility to read and follow blueprints and drawings is an assetGood understanding of English, including verbal, written, and reading skillsAbility to communicated effectively with other and work as part of a teamAbility to learn new tools and equipmentGood problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail in order to spot material and product defectsComfortable working in a fiberglass plant environmentAbility to work at heights and within confined spaces when requiredAbility to work variable hours including overtime and weekends as neededAbility to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20-50 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of timeSafety:Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a culture of safetyEnsure that the equipment and process operate efficiently and safelyProvide support to the generation of HAA and SOPCooperate with their employer for the purposes of protecting the health and safety of themselves as well as other workers either engaged or at the work site where the work is being carried outApplications will be accepted until the position is filled.
