Job Description Job descriptionLocation: Highpoint, NCJob Type: Full-Time, Monday -Friday, 8: 00 AM -5: 00 PMJob Overview: The Greer Group is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Support / Parts Specialist to join our clients team for excavator tooling systems. This role will be essential in providing exceptional customer service through troubleshooting, technical advice, and parts expertise. The ideal candidate will be trained to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on excavator tooling products and provide key support in diagnosing and solving product issues. You will work closely with engineers and higher-level specialists to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to technical support calls and customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic problems with excavator tools
• Provide guidance on part selection, availability, and compatibility
• Work closely with engineers to resolve complex or escalated issues
• Document customer interactions and solutions in CRM or support software
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on tooling systems through hands-on training
• Assist in managing parts inventory, ordering, and delivery timelines
• Support customers with technical knowledge and product training
• Contribute to service documentation and knowledge base for internal and external teams

Qualifications Required:

• Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Technical troubleshooting ability, with a knack for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in a technical support or parts specialist role, preferably within the construction, automotive, or heavy equipment industries.
• Ability to learn quickly and a strong desire to grow as a subject matter expert.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience with excavator tools or similar construction equipment systems.
• Background in mechanical, hydraulic, or engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and parts databases.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an office environment and engage with technical documentation.
• Occasional travel or in-field support may be required.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and handle technical equipment as needed.
