This role will be essential in providing exceptional customer service through troubleshooting, technical advice, and parts expertise. The ideal candidate will be trained to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on excavator tooling products and provide key support in diagnosing and solving product issues. You will work closely with engineers and higher-level specialists to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to technical support calls and customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic problems with excavator tools
- Provide guidance on part selection, availability, and compatibility
- Work closely with engineers to resolve complex or escalated issues
- Document customer interactions and solutions in CRM or support software
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on tooling systems through hands-on training
- Assist in managing parts inventory, ordering, and delivery timelines
- Support customers with technical knowledge and product training
- Contribute to service documentation and knowledge base for internal and external teams
Qualifications Required:
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Technical troubleshooting ability, with a knack for problem-solving.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and hydraulic systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in a technical support or parts specialist role, preferably within the construction, automotive, or heavy equipment industries.
- Ability to learn quickly and a strong desire to grow as a subject matter expert.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with excavator tools or similar construction equipment systems.
- Background in mechanical, hydraulic, or engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and parts databases.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office environment and engage with technical documentation.
- Occasional travel or in-field support may be required.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and handle technical equipment as needed.
