About the role: As a Product Specialist at SciAps, you will be a critical link between our customers and our engineering and sales teams. You will be responsible for providing expert technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering comprehensive training to customers and internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of our product line, excellent communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving. What you will bring to the role:
- Technical Support: Provide timely and accurate technical support to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits, resolving technical issues related to instrument operation, software, and data analysis.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations to potential and existing customers, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of SciAps instruments.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers and internal sales teams, ensuring they are proficient in using our products.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of SciAps products, applications, and competitive landscape, staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify product improvements and contribute to the development of new features and applications.
- Application Development: work with customers to develop application notes, and methods for unique customer needs.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the sales process, including pre-sales consultations and post-sales support.
- Travel: Travel to customer sites and industry events as required, potentially up to 30% of the time.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering).
- Requires work in-person at our Andover, MA facility.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (LIBS, XRF, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
