Position Purpose
The Product Specialist (PS) will provide engineering sales support for the specification, selection, and sales of Hoffman Enclosures & related automation products to customers. The role is primarily a self-directed regional outside position, involving local travel to customers.
The PS will support the Corporate Strategic Business Plan and be required to have and maintain technical acumen to support the BU products.
Responsibilities/ Duties/ Functions/ Tasks
Have core competency for in Electrical Control Enclosure Specification and Automation Products.Able to identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications.Train internal staff on the sales and commercial aspects of assigned products, including features, benefits, applications, and markets.Required to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in their product and complimentary product areas.Provide Pre and Post technical support for internal/external customers.Conduct training and seminars to customers, SI/SPs and OEMs to educate and inform them of products and solutions to drive interest in Revere solutions.Lead, motivate and support a distributor organization to proactively implement the business plan.Strong presentation skills in a group and individual situations.Lead and coordinate the sales teaming efforts required to identify and to close account conversion and project sales opportunities for assigned products.Promote the value-add of the assigned products in competitive situations.Strong arbitration skills to effectively listen, communicate, and gain consensus.Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and close orders for assigned products.Understand and support the execution of the strategic business plan.Provide input and participate as needed in quarterly business reviews.Qualify target accounts and lead them to conversion.Identify and maintain competitive market knowledge to develop and execute strategies for market share growth.Develop and support commercial programs and effectively implement to successful conclusion.Ensure utilization of CRM tools for activities, target conversions, and opportunity management.Administer and implement marketing, promotion programs, and product launches.Understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth.Define and grow new markets for emerging product technologies.Effectively communicates commercial and technical product issues to the Vendor Product Businesses.Contribute to the Digital Marketing efforts.Be a thought leader on Social Media platforms.- Regular travel to customer sites/other Revere locations required.
Qualifications
- Four-year engineering/technical degree preferred. Technical associate degree or applicable experience considered.
- Must possess minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Automation market.
- Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Control Panel & Automation standards & terminology.
- Knowledge of controls systems and panel assembly is a plus.
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Products is a plus.
- Strong application knowledge.
- Team-oriented individual who strives for customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
- Proficient with Windows based operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
- Driver's License and vehicle
Physical Demands
Requires lifting equipment at ~50 lbs. and at times may require two people to safely lift and transport some demo cases / equipment.
Normal job functions are at a desk, but at an unknown periodicity, may require setting up demo equipment for training, assisting loading / unloading of demo equipment.
At times may be required to assist in setting up / tearing down tables and chairs for customer events.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
Repetitive hand motion/keyboard use
Compensation $99,840 - $148,600 annually.
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, and skills.For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in an incentive or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives.
