Product Security Engineer, Technical Lead - Native

Meta's Product Security team is seeking an experienced security professional who specializes in identifying vulnerabilities and developing innovative solutions to mitigate them. Your expertise will support security initiatives that safeguard the privacy and security of over two billion users. You will provide engineering and product teams with security guidance related to web, mobile, or native code to inform product decisions. Join us in challenging cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual design and implementation security reviews of products and services within the Meta ecosystem, including Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and Portal.
• Guide and educate developers to prevent the creation of vulnerabilities.
• Develop automation tools (static and dynamic analysis) and frameworks in collaboration with software engineers to enable scalable security processes across all products.

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience identifying vulnerabilities in interpreted languages and knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Experience exploiting common security vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of exploit mitigation techniques.
• Proficiency in coding and scripting in one or more general-purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with security vulnerabilities and secure coding in C or C++.
• Contributions to the security community (e.g., research, blogging, presentations, bug bounty).
• Experience developing security automation software.

Compensation

$177,000 to $251,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation varies based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits details are available here.
